Annapurna here I come ...

I'm in Kathmandu, preparing to go trekking ... a surprising amount to do, getting equipped, permits, guidebook, registering with the Canadian Consulate etc ...

I'm planning to do the Annapurna circuit

The trek itself takes 20 odd days ... but I may tarry a little on the way - so there may not be too much blogging for the next while.

Meanwhile, here's some pictures of Wendy's place ... my delightful rest and cool out stop in Goa.

The small pond has two flowering water lilies, one is open in the day time, one at night ... how cool is that!! The little froggy lived in my bathroom for a while ... lovley little fella ... totally oblivious to me.

...the perfect chapati ....

Well - I'm still alive and well ... reunited with my credit card, and living extremly comfortably in Goa at my friend Wendy's. It truly is an amazing old Goan home, surrounded by forest, with a stunning garden with a shrine pond - in which one water lily blooms at night and the other in the day.

It's been a time to kick back, relax, read, plan my next adventure and learn from Usha (Wendy's houshold helper) how to make the prefect chapati.

So it seems like the next adventure is Nepal.

I leave for Kathdmandu via Delhi (overnight) on Friday afternoon. I'm hoping to do the Annapurna circuit - or at least part of it - and see how thngs go. I've been dreaming of this for years ... excited to finally have the opportunity to go now.

No pictures right now ... my camera is misbehaving .... stuff!!!
